The Alex Ferry Foundation have awarded a grant of £5000 to the Ella Baker School of Organising to assist them in drawing up a strategic plan to enable them to build a sustainable future.  The school, which specialises in activist training, aims to educate and encourage transformative union and community organising to build a more democratic, more equal and more sustainable world.  The grant will enable them to bring in a specialist to assist them in developing a strategy that will cover fundraising and sustainability for the school and we hope it will provide a platform for future work with the Alex Ferry Foundation and our trade union partners.

Ian Waddell, Director, said,

"Our aims and vision are closely aligned and I am really pleased that we are able to offer some practical assistance to the Ella Baker School of Organising to allow them to shape their own destiny.  I hope that this will be the start of a long and fruitful partnership between our organisations."
